De Scientific Committee van de European Society for Sexual Medicine (ESSM), overhandigde begin februari in Madrid tijdens haar jaarcongres, aan Woet Gianotten de ESSM Career Award voor zijn jarenlange verdiensten.
Uit de aanbevelingsbrief:
"You have been proposed and selected as an appreciation for your involvement in - and support of - our society over many years. The wishes to thank you for playing an important role in the development of European sexual medicine, and acknowledges your ability to unify the medical and psychological aspects of sexual medicine, your passion for education of the younger generations, putting onco-sexology and sexual dysfunction in the disabled and elderly on the map, and bringing the sex into sexual medicine."
